Special Education Complaint Resolution

Special Education Complaint Resolution

We have a multi-step resolution process in place to provide families and staff an opportunity to resolve disputes prior to utilizing more formal resolution options offered through the LDOE. (See page 26 of the LDOE Educational Rights Handbook for the Dispute Resolution Comparison Chart.)

If you believe Allen Parish School Board had violated IDEA requirements, or you have a concern with the delivery of special education services, the following dispute resolution steps are available to you:

First: Contact your child's special education teacher to discuss your concerns

Second: Contact the principal of your child's school

Third: Contact the Special Education Facilitator, Ms. Lisa Dauzat at 337-639-2996 or Lisa.Dauzat@allen.k12.la.us

Fourth: Contact the Director of Special Education, Dr. Scott LeJeune at 337-639-4311 or Scott.LeJeune@allen.k12.la.us
